The Cost of This Job
We don't publish a flat number here because roller jobs split into two different scopes and the price follows the scope, not the town. A straight swap - same-size rollers, same track, no adjustment needed - is a short visit. A full set replaced with sealed-bearing rollers, which run quieter and last longer than the builder-grade nylon most of these 2003-era doors shipped with, costs more up front but means you're not doing this again in five years.
What we can tell you without seeing the door: this area's household income runs well above the wider service area average, and we see more owners here choose the upgrade to sealed-bearing or nylon-with-bearing rollers rather than the cheapest like-for-like swap, since the price difference over the life of the door is small. That's a call we walk through on site, not over the phone, because track wear and hinge condition change what's worth doing.
Can You Do This Yourself
Rollers are one of the more DIY-friendly parts on a garage door, and if you're only replacing the bottom rollers on a door with no torsion spring in the way, a careful owner can do it. The trouble is the top rollers, which sit near the spring and cable under real tension - pull the wrong bracket and the door can come off the track or the spring can let go. If your door is a double, and this area has a fair number of them, the tension is higher and the margin for error is smaller.
Our honest limit here: we don't talk anyone through the top-roller job over the phone, and we won't sell you the parts for that half of the repair without doing it ourselves. Bottom rollers, fine - buy the right size, match the stem length, and take it slow. Top rollers on a door under tension, call us. It's a fifteen-minute fix for someone who does it daily and a trip to the ER for someone who doesn't.
Booking a Visit
Falling Waters is about 9 miles from our shop in Martinsburg, and we run out to it as part of the regular route, not as a special trip. There's no local depot here - we travel in from Martinsburg every time - so we schedule these jobs alongside the other calls in this corridor to keep the drive worth it for both of us.
If you're not sure whether what you're hearing is a roller, a hinge, or a track problem, tell us what the sound is and where it happens on the door's travel; that alone usually narrows it down before we arrive. See more on garage doors in Falling Waters, or if you're actually in Martinsburg proper, the Martinsburg roller replacement page covers that side of the territory.
